Can You Really Make A Passive Income On Pinterest?
You really can make a passive income on Pinterest and it's easier then you might think.
The majority of people believe that Pinterest is a site that is used to search for beautiful pictures about decorating ideas for their home or to search for recipe ideas to cook for their family, but Pinterest is so much more.
The Pinterest platform when used properly, can make you a passive income that will earn you money each and every month for a long time. Before I explain the actual steps you need to take to make a passive income on Pinterest, I'd like to first explain what a passive income is.
I want you to understand that there is no such thing as an entirely passive income, but I am quite sure that you already know this.
You hear people talk about passive income streams and you might have an idea of what it might be, but there isn’t anything entirely passive. There is some sort of work to do to make sure that your income stream stays passive. An Example would be marketing. Doing this allows you to profit from the work you have already done for a long time.
It's safe to say that passive incomes are things that you have done once and put in place that will earn you money on a continuing basis without ever having to spend more time or do more work.
I am now going to list four easy steps that you need to take to make a passive income on Pinterest.
Step #1: Good Quality Content.
The very first and most important thing that you will need to do is write good quality content. The content can be in the form of a how-to tutorial, a review post, case studies, or something else that will bring value to your audience and customers.
What this means is that you will be teaching your visitors something that they don't know but want to learn. You will take on the role of a teacher by educating your audience with the knowledge and skills that you have learned.
You can't just provide basic information that is easily found online and you will not be writing content to simply fill up your site or blog. What you need to do is provide great quality content that will bring value to you audience. Something that they will not easily find elsewhere. Your content is used to build a relationship with your visitors and to solve some sort of problem that they have.
Good quality content is extremely important to make a passive income on Pinterest.
Step #2: Include Affiliate Links
Include one of your affiliate links within the content that will take them to an offer. You will be using your content to show your visitors how the offer will solve the problem they are facing and how it can benefit them.
Ideally, you should only use one affiliate offer in your content. You do not want to confuse your audience. Focus everything around this one offer. Explain to your audience how this offer will benefit them, the importance of it and how you benefited from it. Go into full detail.
The affiliate offer you choose to insert in your content is there to provide your audience with a solution and allow you make a passive income on Pinterest.
Step #3: Pinnable Images.
You will need to create an attractive pin in the form of an image or graphic to promote the content that you wrote.
If you've spent any time on Pinterest, then you have certainly seen these attractive Pins. The images in these pins make you want to click them. That is the exact effect that you want your pins to have on your audience. You want your pins to grab your audience’s attention when they are scrolling through Pinterest. When they see your pin, they will click on it and read the post that you wrote. The very same post that has your link for your affiliate offer.
The image isn't the only thing that is important. You need to make sure that you have used targeted keywords in your content to bring you these visitors.
Think about what people are typing in Pinterest. You can get an idea about this by looking at other people’s pins. If there are similar pins, then that means people are looking for this information.
Doing this will boost your traffic and Pinterest will start to send your targeted audience to your content and offer.
It is this traffic that will allow you to make a passive income on Pinterest.
Without traffic your content won't be seen.
Step #4. Be consistent
You must be consistent and continue to pin to drive your targeted audience to your content and affiliate offer. The more people that see your affiliate offer the more you will earn.
You need to build up your traffic and drive more of your targeted audience to the post you created. To do this you just need to consistently pin it. You can take your image and pin it to your personal boards, group boards and other relevant boards. The easiest way I have found to do this is to use a pin scheduling service.
The best service I have found, and I personally use is Tailwind. I absolutely love it!
Tailwind makes it very easy for me to keep my content consistent and fresh. All I do is pin once per week and tailwind sends my pin to all my boards. It does all this several times per day every day.
Applying these 4 step is the best way to make a passive income on Pinterest.
To Summarize, you must create content that will provide your targeted audience with a solution. This is done with good quality content and your affiliate offer. Then you need to create attention grabbing graphics and use targeted keywords. Now your pin will be seen by Pinterest as a relevant search result.
Finally, be consistent with your pinning by using a pin scheduler such as Tailwind.
This is how you will create an automated system that's going to make you a passive income on Pinterest. This system will continue making you money every month from a piece of content you only had to create once.
